Peter G. Hindle, who taught at Deerfield Academy for 44 years beginning in 1956 and is deceased, had a number of duties at Deerfield Academy that gave him access to minor students. He was a teacher, coach, dormitory master, counselor, tutor, and supervisor of young boys.
The latest accusation against Peter G. Hindle involves a minor child who was sexually abused from approximately 1989-1990 when he was a residential student in a dormitory at Deerfield Academy and Peter G. Hindle was his math teacher and tutor.
It is outrageous that Deerfield Academy would stall in resolving the claim since the unnecessary delay re-victimizes and re-traumatizes the former student of Peter G. Hindle at Deerfield Academy.
