CARDINAL BLASE CUPICH MUST STOP THE INEXCUSABLE DELAY IN PLACING THE NAME OF THE LEGENDARY FR. GEORGE CLEMENTS AS A CREDIBLY ACCUSED SEXUAL ABUSER ON THE WEBSITE OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF CHICAGO, IL
What
A demonstration demanding that Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago add the name of Fr. George Clements to the list of acknowledged credibly accused priests which appears on the Archdiocese of Chicago website. His inconsistent excuse that the credible allegation of childhood sexual abuse against Fr. George Clements was reported after Fr. Clements passed away is not credible, since many deceased priests who are listed on the website were accused after they passed away.

Where
On the public sidewalk across from Holy Name Cathedral, 730 North Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60654
Who
Robert M. Hoatson, Ph.D., Co-founder and President of Road to Recovery, Inc., a non-profit charity based in New Jersey that assists victims of sexual abuse and their families; a former religious brother and former Newark Archdiocesan priest, ordained by the disgraced Archbishop (Cardinal) Theodore McCarrick. Road to Recovery, Inc. has assisted thousands of clergy sexual abuse victims and their families
Why
Cardinal Blase Cupich, by not placing the name of Fr. George Clements as a credibly accused childhood sexual abuser on the Archdiocese of Chicago website, is re-traumatizing and re-victimizing the credible courageous victim who came forward under great duress to report horrific acts of sexual abuse by Fr. Clements. The victim is represented by Attorney Mitchell Garabedian of Boston, MA. Such inaction by Cardinal Cupich is allowing the secrecy of clergy sexual abuse in the Catholic Church to continue as it has for decades.
