Two lawsuits were recently filed in Livingston County, New York, Supreme Court on behalf of two men who allege that they were sexually abused by Fr. Joseph Edward Larabee, a priest of the Diocese of Rochester, New York, at St. Mary’s Church, Dansville, New York, and St. Agnes Church, Avon, New York on numerous occasions between approximately 1980-1984. A press conference announcing that two lawsuits have been filed in Livingston County, New York, Supreme Court on behalf of two men who allege that they were sexually abused by Fr. Joseph Edward Larabee, a priest of the Diocese of Rochester, New York, when Fr. Larabee was stationed at St. Mary’s Parish in Dansville, New York, and St. Agnes Parish in Avon, New York. Fr. Joseph Edward Larabee was also stationed at St. John the Evangelist Parish, Rochester, New York; Church of the Good Shepherd, Henrietta, New York; and, St. Louis Parish, Pittsford, New York. Fr. Larabee, it is believed, was laicized by the Vatican. Please do not publish the names of the plaintiffs in these cases.
